Hello everyone, I have uploaded
some soca tunes for you to listen to
click here to hear them . And trust me, these tunes are
hot. There is Faye-ann Lyons The Road March Queen herself
with "Get on", Bunji with "Firey", Machel
singing "Whining season", "Unconditional love",
Roy Cape featuring Blaxx with "Breathless", Pelf
with "Bumper", the list goes on. Some remix's for
2008 will be added shortly.

CARNIVAL PLACING ON SUNDAY 2007
3rd place Invaders 133 points
Thank you so much to everyone that put
such magnificent work into making the costumes and performing
on the road. You are all truly marvelous people and every
year, we hope that you will continue to support Invaders.
What the Administrator saw at Notting Hill carnival 2007.
Well people, another carnival has
come and gone but the pain still lingers in my hips. The
costumes were fantastic and so were all of you. The beauty
of the day and costumes radiated from all of you. And even
though some of you were quite drunk on the day i'm sure
that you will remember bits of carnival even if your memories
are a bit sketchy. I don't want to mention any names, Mervin!
Sorry it just slipped out. Mervin started doing this dance
on the floor that only a maniac could do. It was a cross
between soca aerobics and bedroom antics. Then he just walked
off as if nothing had happened. Man, it was so funny.You
see, that's what we in Invaders love about you all. You
really know how to enjoy yourself. That is true carnival
people. I know the spirit plays a key role in some of your
behavior. Did you see Patricia? My girl was working that
costume. All I could see was bits of feathers flying off
all over the place. I'm not saying that the costume was
not constructed properly, Patricia was working it HAAAAAAAARD!.
I was surprised that Tyler (the carnival Queen as she is
known), had a costume left when it was given back to her.
As for you Cheryl. You had a group of men checking out the
bumper all day. I guess orange is your colour now. You must
have been on all the men's camcorders and digital cameras
come to think of it. Then there was Archie who started harassing
the crowd. He was asking some guy in the crowd if he wanted
a drink. The guy said no. Then Archie asked these other
people, no surprise, they said no. Maybe they thought it
was a urine sample he had in his bottle. I never knew Invaders
people were so generous. The red section never stopped wining
up. The sight of a camera sent them into over drive. You
go red section!!!! Someone stole my Grenadian flag. I know
I'm not one but I can still represent my adopted Island.
I think it was a deliberate act of theft. They knew I was
a fake. And by the way Rozzy, I don't think that putting
your rubbish in my hat was very funny. You still had bits
of chicken pattie in the paper. I was wondering why I had
so many flies around my hat. If it wasn't for your sister
Ann, I would still be none the wiser. So on that matter
all I can say is," REVENGE". Cynthia in the blue
section kept laughing at what we still don't really know.
She was jooking down the road which should come as no surprise
to some people. After all, Cynthia has Dominican and St
lucian blood running through her vain's which was topped
up with rum, correction Jack Iron. You can imagine the result.
I personally think there was a bottle of rum going around
and she kept blocking it's route with her lips. Come to
think of it I did see Mr Cool going around with a bottle
of rum. He got mobbed. You guys are crazy. How that woman
made it through carnival I have no idea. Ann, on the other
hand, had some guy following her around then he asked her
if she had spotted him in the crowd earlier. Amongst all
those people? Anyone use the porto-loos?. You must have
unless you had a catheter fitted. The toilets were mental.
You had to do this balancing act. One leg on the wall kind
of thing. Well I did anyway. A tip for next year- join a
toilet queue with more men in it. I know they urinate all
over the floor and ceiling but they are quicker. Talking
of men, who saw Oliver? In case you all don't know who Oliver
is he was the guy in a black wig on Sunday and the pink
one on Monday. Oliver is a carnival band all rolled into
one. This guy was everywhere. I swear he was. I blinked
once and he disappeared on my third blink he was back jumping
all over the place. He was so helpful with helping the spectators
take pictures. Oliver would grab you then put you back in
the band and grab another band member who someone wanted
a picture with. I did try to put some bright red lip gloss
on Oliver at one stage but I think he draws the line at
a bright pink wig. Then there is his lovely girlfriend Cecilia.
I was a bit disappointed because I do like to play in the
same section as Cecilia, she likes to get on bad. All mental
patients take note. My girl knows how to make carnival happen.
If you are standing still moaning about the music, Cecilia
will just wine past you and you would feel the need to join
in. Cecilia was wining all over the place. A film crew could
not even keep up with her she sent them spining plus she
had red wedges on put me to shame I can tell you that now.
I even asked if she was planning to wear them wedges all
day. She said NO. But as the night drew to an end and me
constantly checking to see if she had changed her shoes,
Cecilia wined off into the sunset with Oliver. AHHHHHHHHH!
Cecilia is the wuk up Queen but hot on her tail is her daughter
Roshani who is the wuk up Princess. Not only does Cecilia
and Roshani resemble sisters rather then mother and daughter
but they truly hold the real spirit of carnival. Roshani
had a great carnival from what I could see. It was truly
lovely to see Roshani dancing with Tyler and holding part
of Tylers costume whilst doing so. Roshani went on the ground
then back up again I would have joined in but I don't think
my fish net tights could have taken the strain. Cecilia
watch out, your daughter is after your crown.
